An internal voltage generator is provided to prevent a leakage current flowing to an internal voltage node in a deep power down mode, by comprising a leakage current prevention part. A comparator(AMP) controls a voltage of a first node in response to voltage difference between a reference voltage and an internal voltage. An internal voltage driving part(22) is connected between a driving node and an internal voltage node, and applies the internal voltage to the internal voltage node in response to the voltage level of the first node. A leakage current prevention part(23) disables the internal voltage driving part by applying an external voltage to the first node in a deep power down mode, and prevent a leakage current by blocking the external voltage applied to the driving node.
