PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably and accurately perform color shift detection even when there is unevenness in intensity of the reflection light from an image carrier such as an intermediate transfer belt.SOLUTION: A laser printer 30 comprises: a plurality of image forming parts 5 that each form a toner image on a photoreceptor drum 1; an intermediate transfer belt 8 to which a toner image is transferred; a color shift detection sensor 41 that has a light emitting element 51 and a light receiving element 52 and detects color shift correction toner images 44L and 44R on the intermediate transfer belt 8; and a printer control part 101 that adjusts, when the color correction toner images 44L and 44R are detected, the emission intensity of the light emitted by the light emitting element 51 according to each of a plurality of positions of the intermediate transfer belt 8 on the basis of the intensity of the reflection light from the plurality of positions of the intermediate transfer belt 8, which is received by the light receiving element 52.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
