A wireless hands-free device and an operation controlling method thereof are provided to automatically control a noise/echo elimination operation mode according to usage purposes, and to connect with a mobile communication terminal for communication without separate operation when a car is started, thereby improving a user's convenience. An acceleration sensor(170) measures an acceleration direction of gravity. A display unit(160) displays operation information. A sound processor(140) processes a sound signal inputted through a microphone(145). A controller(180) decides whether a body is turned over, and if not, the controller displays the operation information in forward direction on the display unit, and controls the sound processor to make the microphone have forward directivity. If the body is turned over, the controller displays the operation information by rotating at 180 degrees in the forward direction, and controls the sound processor to make the microphone have single directivity.
