A hand-held vacuum suction device is provided to increase the endurance and vacuum efficiency by using a diaphragm type vacuum pump. A hand-held vacuum suction device comprises an outer case and a cap(16). The cap has an intake port at the lower portion thereof and an intake nozzle, which is formed with a side discharge hole in communication with the intake port, at the side thereof. The cap is detachably coupled with the outer case. A pressure switch unit(40) is provided in the outer case, and includes a pressure switch(44) blocking supply of power and an intake duct(46). A slide body falls down against a spring when pressure in the cap is lowered below predetermined pressure. A vacuum pump(50) sucks air using a diaphragm scheme. A controller(60) is electrically connected with the vacuum pump and the pressure switch to control the operation of the vacuum pump.
