The ability of (I) to treat spasmodic disease was tested in mice. The tablets are effervescent tablets containing at least one organic acid and/or at least an organic acid salt, where the organic acid is citric acid, tartaric acid, malic acid and acetic acid, and at least a strong base and/or a salt of the strong base, which are bicarbonates and carbonates of sodium, calcium, magnesium and potassium. #CMT#ADMINISTRATION : #/CMT# Administration of (I) is in the form of tablets, capsules, powders, granules, lyophilisates, drinkable and injectable fluids, syrups, suspensions and suppositories. Administration of phloroglucinol is 100-1000 mg, preferably 100-500 mg.
