No biological data given. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# (I) is useful in treating spasmodic diseases such as spastic colitis, hepatic colic, renal colic and dysmenorrhea. The ability of (I) to treat spasmodic disease was tested in mice. The result showed that (I) exhibited the percentage inhibition of 100 at phloroglucinol (120 mg/kg) and paracetamol (50 mg/kg). #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# (I) is effective in antispasmodic therapy and has no side effects. #CMT#ORGANIC CHEMISTRY : #/CMT# Preferred Components: The medicament composition comprises a pharmaceutical composition comprising phloroglucinol and paracetamol in an excipient. The tablets are effervescent tablets containing at least one organic acid and/or at least an organic acid salt, where the organic acid is citric acid, tartaric acid, malic acid and acetic acid, and at least a strong base and/or a salt of the strong base, which are bicarbonates and carbonates of sodium, calcium, magnesium and potassium. #CMT#ADMINISTRATION : #/CMT# Administration of (I) is in the form of tablets, capsules, powders, granules, lyophilisates, drinkable and injectable fluids, syrups, suspensions and suppositories. Administration of phloroglucinol is 100-1000 mg, preferably 100-500 mg. Administration of paracetamol is 100-1000 mg, preferably 100-500 mg (all claimed). #CMT#EXAMPLE : #/CMT# The typical medicament composition comprised (mg): phloroglucinol (80); paracetamol (250); sodium bicarbonate (295.2); citric acid (215); sodium benzoate (15.2); docusate sodium (0.2); and sodium saccharin (0.5). |
