The exchanger has inlet and outlet collecting boxes for collecting fluid circulating in multichannel type plane tubes (2) and contiguous tubes (2`, 2``) that are aligned with respect to each other. The boxes are formed by superimposition, in alternation, of cover and spacer walls (4, 5). A separation wall (9) forms a U shaped circuit for another fluid. The wall (9) is constituted of a metallic plate and connected and fixed to the boxes and a hollow plate (15). The wall (9) has a recess (22) to authorize passage of the latter fluid on sides of the wall (9) between rows of the tubes (2, 2`).
