PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination apparatus which has a high luminance and does not give a visual displeasure.

SOLUTION: The illumination apparatus 2 is provided with a lamp shade 21, a light source module 22 and a light-condensing plate 30. The light source module 22 is arranged in the lamp shade 21 and has a light emitting diode element 221 and a circuit board 222. The light emitting diode element 221 is arranged in the circuit board 222. The condensing plate 30 is arranged in the lamp shade 21 and on the light emitting diode element 221. The condensing plate 30 has a condensing element 31 and is arranged to correspond to the light emitting diode element 221.
