<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk storage device in which power loss in a control circuit is minimized, a whole power consumption and IC heat generation can be reduced. <P>SOLUTION: The disk storage device is provided with a head 2 including a write element 55 for writing data in a disk medium and a read element 53 for reading data, and having a heat generating element 54 for controlling spacing with the disk medium, a power source voltage means 40 supplying first voltage, a switching regulator 42 supplying second voltage being different from the first voltage, a switching means 43 connected to the power source voltage means 40 and the switching regulator 42 and switching selectively these supply voltage, and an energizing control means 9 for switching and controlling supply of power for the heat generating element 54 by controlling the switching means 43 in accordance with power consumption of the heat generating element 54. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
