<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a field emission type electrode excellent in electron emission characteristics and an electronic equipment using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The field emission type electrode 10 is provided with a substrate 11, a barrier layer 12 formed on the substrate 11, and an electron emission film 13. The electron emission film 13 is structured of a carbon nano-wall CNW31 made of a graphene sheet, a microcrystal diamond film 32, and sticks 33 grown from the carbon nano-wall CNW 31 and formed so as to protrude from the microcrystal diamond film 32.
