PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary cleaning body excellent in the effect of cleaning a part whose entire length is long such as an air filter arranged in an air conditioner and raking out dust of a carpet or the like by forming an easy-to-manufacture rotary cleaning body with little warp, increased strength, a narrow outer diameter and little rotation deviation at a low cost. SOLUTION: The rotary cleaning body is freely rotatably attached to an apparatus, comprises a core rod 39 and a flexible cleaning body 38 with at least one cleaning piece 37 on the outer periphery of a cylindrical base 42, and is provided with a holding means for bringing the inner wall of the base part 42 into press contact with the outer peripheral surface of the core rod 39 and holding the press contact state of the base part 42 and the core rod 39 by inserting the core rod 39 to the base part 42 and applying external force to the cleaning body 38.
