PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce manufacturing costs by enhancing assembling workability through the use of a power unit. SOLUTION: In this lock device, a dead driving cam 3, which drives a dead bolt 2 so as to lock/unlock it by rotating an input gear 1, the power unit 7, which is housed in a unit case 4 and which outputs the power of an actuator from a rotating output shaft 6 via a gear train, a relay gear 9, which is connected to the rotating output shaft 6 of the power unit 7, and a rack member 10, both the ends of which are equipped with racks and which transfers the rotational power of the relay gear 9 to the input gear 1, are housed in the lock case 11. In the rack member 10, a rack sliding surface of the unit case 4 enables the relay gear-side rack 8A, which is meshed with the relay gear 9, to freely slide in such a manner that the other ends are each supported on a rack supporting portion provided in the lock case 11. A rack guide, which regulates the rolling of the rack member 10 around a moving direction line by supporting a side wall surface of the relay gear-side rack 8A, is protrusively provided in the unit case 4.
