PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video image recorder capable of effectively designating a video image, for example, when reproducing the video image. SOLUTION: The video image recorder 5 acquires and outputs video image data requested from video image data of a plurality of units recorded in an internal or external recording means. Information of a numerical value is attached as identification information to each of the video image data of the plurality of units. Difference in the numerical value between video image data, the numerical values of which are adjacent to each other on recording is not constant. In the video image recorder 5, a receiving means receives a request for video image data including a numerical value of identification information to be reference and a numerical value indicating a relative position to the numerical value of the identification information to be the reference, an acquiring means acquires video image data designated by the received request for video image data, and an outputting means outputs the acquired video image data to a requesting source.
