PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform control by high-speed processing in a device using a laser. SOLUTION: The light source device has a light emission section, a sensor, a digital signal processor, and a current control section. Current is supplied to the light emission section for emitting laser beams. The sensor measures the quantity of laser beams and outputs a first analog signal corresponding the quantity of light. The digital signal processor receives the first analog signal, performs digital processing based on the first analog signal to generate a second analog signal, and outputs the second analog signal. The current control section receives the second analog signal and controls current supplied to the light emission section based on the second analog signal. With the embodiment, current for emitting laser beams based on the quantity of laser beams can be controlled without any external A/D conversion, thus controlling the quantity of laser beams by high-speed processing.
