PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance print quality by eliminating the factors disturbing discharge of ink of an ink-jet head as much as possible. SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of the ink-jet head 1 has a step of filling an ink discharge opening 37, which is provided in an ink discharge surface 37a of an ink-jet head manifold 2, with a wax material 74 so as to block the ink discharge opening 37, a step of polishing the blocked ink discharge surface 37a of the ink discharge opening 37, a step of removing the wax material 74 from the ink discharge opening 37 after the ink discharge surface 37a is polished, and a step of joining the ink discharge surface 37a from which the wax material 74 is removed with an orifice plate 3 in which an ink discharge hole 3a connecting to the ink discharge opening 37 is provided.
