PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer forming an ink image by imparting ink on an intermediate transfer body by an inkjet recording means, and producing a printed matter by transferring the ink image to a recording medium, wherein variation of ink landing due to an air stream caused by high speed printing, or scattering of ink mist, is suppressed. SOLUTION: An intermediate transfer body 1 is charged before an ink image is formed, and an electric field is generated between an inkjet recording means 5 and an intermediate transfer body. A flying ink is attracted on an intermediate transfer side to secure high precision landing. The percentage of fine ink droplets correctly attached on the intermediate transfer body is raised thereby, and an amount of floating ink mist is reduced. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
