The machine (2) has a water-cooled electrical high frequency motor (6) arranged in a housing (4), and a fin (8) fitted on a front side of the housing where the fin exhibits a circular slot introduced on an edge (10) of the fin. A diamond-equipped saw wire (12) rotates in the circular slot, where the saw wire is driven by the motor. A guide roller is arranged at a free end of the fin. The motor is operated with a frequency converter. A cooling water guiding intermediate plate is arranged between external plates.
