A method for preparing medicinal carbon is provided to obtain fine powdery medicinal carbon with selective absorption capability, no impurities and no side effect on human body through high temperature carbonization of a Korean red pine. A method for preparing medicinal carbon satisfying official standard of Korean Pharmacopeia comprises the steps of: (a) crushing a Korean red pine with good quality into materials having a size of 2-8 mm; (b) after putting the materials in a carbonization kiln and heating it to a temperature of 550 deg.C, waiting for 20-40 minutes, re-heating it to a temperature of 750 deg.C to distinguish poroligenous liquor and a color of smoke, perform a carbonization process thereon and cooling it gradually for 3-4 hours; (c) after applying heat to carbonized charcoals obtained from the step(b) and putting stem and nitrogen therein when the temperature reaches to about 550 deg.C, waiting for 20-40 minutes when the temperature reaches to about 800 deg.C to perform an activation process and reducing heat gradually to cool it down; (d) crushing the activated charcoal using a hexagonally formed first crusher into materials having a size of 100-150 mesh; (e) crushing the materials obtained from the step(d) with charcoal and ceramic stone using a circular crusher into materials having a size of about 300 mesh, wherein a volumetric ratio of the charcoal and the ceramic stone is 7-9:1-3; and (f) putting the materials obtained from the step(e) in a washed and disinfected density controlling machine to control the density with removing impurities and irons therefrom.
