The present invention relates to an X-ray source, using carbon nanotube (CNT) yarn using filtered arc deposition, and an X-ray generating device using the same. The present invention includes: CNT yarn operating as a cathode part; and an insulating protection layer surrounding the CNT yarn. The surface of the CNT yarn emits an electron, the cathode part includes an electrode emission surface emitting an electrode, and the electrode emission surface is formed as at least a part of the cathode part is exposed from the insulating protection layer in a longitudinal direction of the cathode part.
