PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an RFI/EMI shield (10) formed of interlaced conductive and non-conductive filament (14). SOLUTION: The shield (10) takes a form of a sleeve (12) with a longitudinal seam (30), and is biased so that free edges (32 and 34) defining the seam (30) are positioned in overlapping relation. A pair of filamentary drain wires (16 and 18) are continuously interlaced with filamentary members (14) forming the sleeve (12) and other drain wires (16 and 18) are interlaced at lengthwise along the sleeve (12). Between attachment regions, the drain wires (16 and 18) float on a surface of the sleeve (12) and are extendible away from the sleeve (12) for attachment to an electrical ground.
