PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a knocking detection device for an internal combustion engine capable of making accuracy in detecting knocking vibration higher than former devices. SOLUTION: The knocking detection device applied to the internal combustion engine 1 provided with a cylinder block 3 including an inner wall 21 forming a cylinder 5 and an outer wall 23 provided in a circumference of the inner wall 21 with a water jacket groove 22 in between is provided with a joining part 26 arranged in the water jacket groove 22 and touching an outer surface 21a facing the outer wall 23 of the inner wall 21, a vibration transmitting tube 25 including a sensor mounting tube 27 projecting to an outside of an engine main body 2 of the internal combustion engine 1, and a vibration sensor 30 provided on the sensor mounting tube 27.
