PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sludge dehydration method capable of attaining volume reduction of dewatered sludge by lowering remarkably the moisture content in the dewatered sludge, even when little energy is required for heating the sludge.SOLUTION: In a sludge dehydration method, a heating dehydration process is performed, in which sludge is heated and simultaneously dewatered to form dewatered sludge, and a vacuum evaporation process is performed, in which the dewatered sludge formed in the heating dehydration process is transferred into a vacuum chamber, and moisture contained in the dewatered sludge placed in the vacuum chamber is evaporated under the vacuum. The heating dehydration process and the vacuum evaporation process are performed in a sludge dehydrator.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
