PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent failures (water hammer or the like) caused by drain without setting a heating air temperature to a low temperature (70°C, for instance) below 100°C by improving the temperature control technique of a laundry drier. SOLUTION: A drain housing tank 9 is connected near the exit of a heat transfer pipe 4a provided in an air heater 4. A drain amount inside the drain housing tank 9 is detected by a water level gauge 10 and a detection signal (arrow k) is inputted to an automatic controller 11. The automatic controller 11 outputs a command signal (arrow k) to operate a pump driving motor 13 and discharges the drain inside the drain housing tank 9 by a water discharge pump 12. In such a manner, since the drain generated inside the heat transfer pipe 4a is promptly eliminated, the failures (such as water hammer) due to the drain are completely prevented.
