PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single sash window which comprises a lock mechanism and a water drain mechanism consisting of a few components, and has excellent design property.SOLUTION: A single sash window comprises glasses each of which slides in a window frame for opening/closing a window. The window frame is a frame body provided with front side frames and rear side frames in parallel in a longitudinal direction between an upper rail and a lower rail disposed on a lower and upper portions in parallel. An inner peripheral part of the frame body includes a rail groove part on which the glass slides. The glass is provided with protectors in peripheral edge parts. Each of the protectors is integrated with a glass to slide on the rail groove part. One of the protectors for the glass is a side protector which is attached to a side peripheral edge part, and which has an elastic support piece part and lock members formed in the elastic support piece part. The lock member is configured to lock with a part to be locked formed in the front side frame or the rear side frame.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
