<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reforming unit achieving an efficient and stable reforming treatment with a simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: A burner unit 151 is provided at the upper end part of the reforming unit 300 in the vertical direction. The burner unit 151 is easily attached and detached to improve the maintainability such as the inspection for the maintenance of the burner unit 151 or the assembly workability. The fuel cell system is unitilized to be easily used at-home and is easily made small-sized. Particularly by providing at the upper end part of the reforming unit 300, the burner unit 151 is attached and detached only with an attaching bolt 612D to improve the assembly workability or maintainability such as maintenance check and to easily simplify the structure.
