<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly change setting of a receiving side when TS (Transport Stream)contents are changed while providing a function for performing protection so as not to perform erroneous setting changing by using auxiliary data even through a data error occurs in a TS transmission line. <P>SOLUTION: This transmitting side device has an auxiliary data generating part for generating auxiliary data composed of the whole or partial parameters described in a PAT (Program Association Table), a PMT (Program Map Table) and video format information of video data, and an auxiliary data attaching part for replacing a portion of a stuffing byte part of a short cycle PCR (Program Clock Reference) packet with the auxiliary data to attach the auxiliary data. This receiving side device has an auxiliary data extracting part for extracting the auxiliary data from a received PCR packet, and a data comparison control part for comparing contents of the auxiliary data with contents of the PAT, the PMT and the video format information, and performing setting changing on the basis of the parameters described in the PAT, the PMT and the video format information only when the contents coincide with each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
