PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus for securing right and left visual ranges behind a vehicle with simple configurations. SOLUTION: A reflecting member 11 is provided with plate-shaped reflectors 11a and 11b, and far-infrared light from right and left regions behind a vehicle are reflected by the reflectors 11a and 11b, and the reflected light are guided to a condenser lens 12. The condenser lens 12 condenses the reflected light to the surface of an imaging element 13. The imaging element 13 converts the far-infrared light into a luminance signal, and outputs the converted luminance signal to an image processing part 14. The image processing part 14 converts the input luminance signal into a digital signal, and performs mirror image inversion processing for performing the mirror image inversion display of the imaged image as necessary, and outputs the processed imaging data through a communication interface part 16 to a monitor 20.
