<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a comfortable virtual movement in a three-dimensional image by planar projection of a three-dimensional space. <P>SOLUTION: An information processing apparatus that stores three-dimensional map data for planar projection of a three-dimensional space on a map and stores location information including classes of features at points arranged in a grid on the map corresponding to the three-dimensional map data in association with the points, when receiving an operation input specifying a movement from a present position to an endpoint on the map, determines the possibility of collision in the movement according to the endpoint, the present position and the feature class included in the location information, corrects the endpoint and updates the present position according to the determination, and renders and displays a three-dimensional image by planar projection of the three-dimensional space on the map corresponding to the present position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
