PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a particulate chemical substance having a narrow particle size distribution and sufficient hardness of such a level as to satisfactorily permit pneumatic transportation at a use site, and to provide a method for manufacturing the particulate chemical substance. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing particulate chemical substance comprises a process of granulating a chemical substance having a melting point of 50 to 250°C by using a spray granulation apparatus, wherein a nozzle plate 1 to which a plurality of nozzle pipes 2 having a length in the range of 2 to 100 mm are attached is used as the nozzles, the chemical substance is dropped through nozzle holes and the granulation is performed.
