PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a speech synthesis method and a program, a speech synthesizing device, and a music and speech reproduction device, by which voice can be read at desired timing according to the music and read speech reproduced. SOLUTION: The speech synthesis method comprises a speech synthesizing step for performing speech synthesis, by obtaining text information and converting the text information to a speech data by referring to a speech database (DB) 14; and a control step for controlling the output timing of synthesized speech, according to the information, regarding the speech data and information regarding the music data, after obtaining the information regarding the speech data and the information regarding the music data.
