PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machining system improved in accuracy for a shape of a workpiece, specially a shape in the vicinity of a center hole. SOLUTION: The machining system comprises: a pair of center members 23C and 24C for supporting the workpiece W as a machining target by holding on both ends of the workpiece and making the workpiece rotate around an rotary shaft passing through both supported ends; a machining means 30; and a control means. The pair of center members are inserted into center holes H arranged on the rotary axis of both ends of the workpiece along the rotary axis direction. The control means can adjust pressure force Fc necessary to make the center members 23C and 24C inserted into the center holes H hold both ends of the workpiece W. When machining a machined section of the workpiece W by the machining means 30, the pressure force Fc of the center members 23c and 24C can be changed in proportion to a distance from the center hole to the machined section.
