摘要 The invention relates to electrochemical converters, mainly to fuel cells which are used for converting chemical energy into electric power. Said invention discloses a controllable process consisting in forming an oxidiser where a fuel and an electrolyte are brought into contact, thereby making it possible to use any agents participating in an oxidation-reduction process, for example metals, organic substances and liquefied gas in the form of a fuel and to optimise the amount of the thus obtained useful energy. The invention also makes it possible to safely use fuel cells. The inventive method consists in bringing a fuel and an electrolyte into contact in such a way that an interface region is formed in the fuel cell body, in bringing the fuel and the electrolyte into contact with electrodes and in carrying out the high-voltage polarisation of the interface region by supplying activating voltage pulses to the electrodes in such a way that the fuel oxidation (burning) is generated, wherein the used electrolyte is not embodied in the form of an oxidiser with respect to the fuel prior to the supply of activating pulses.
