The device has a locking part (10) which matches a container fitting. A cam (20) senses depositing movement and weight of a container and transmits the movement and weight in converted form to a driving mechanism for the locking part. The weight is converted via a lever-spring mechanism into a downwardly directed force for the depositing of the locking part and into a torque for rotating the locking part about its axis. The weight is converted into shearing forces to block the locking part in its locking position in a form-fitting and frictional manner.
