Method for finishing a tool (10) for working wood comprising a substantia lly flat body (12) having a central zone, possibly provided with a hole (15) , a peripheral zone (14) in which a plurality of cutting elements (13) are d isposed in order to work the wood, and an intermediate annular zone (18), di sposed between the central zone and the peripheral zone (14), in which one o r more through notches (17) are made. The finishing method provides at least a first step of depositing a polymer material (20) inside the through notch es (17), which is performed by means of injection, hot and under pressure, o f the polymer material (20) in its molten state inside the through notches ( 17).
