<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot water storage type hot water heater improving cleanliness of hot water in a circulating passage. <P>SOLUTION: This hot water storage type hot water heater is provided with: a hot water storage tank 4 to which water from waterworks is supplied through a water supply passage 2 connected to the bottom of the tank and from which hot water is delivered through a hot water passage 3 connected to the upper part of the tank; a circulating means 6 which operates to circulate the hot water through a circulating passage 5 including at least the form of circulation passing through the hot water storage tank 4 in regard to the form of circulation for circulating the hot water through a heating means H, and which operates to heat water taken out from the bottom of the hot water storage tank 4 by the heating means H and to return the hot water to the upper part of the hot water storage tank 4 in regard to the form of circulation through the hot water storage tank 4; and an operation control means which controls operation. The operation control means is configured to discriminate cleaning timing with water supplied to the hot water storage tank 4 through the water supply passage 2 for satisfying a setting condition, and is configured to perform cleaning treatment for cleaning the circulating passage 5 by water in the bottom of the hot water storage tank 4 when discriminated the cleaning timing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
