PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer which forms a homogeneous adhesive layer on a tape regardless of its width during its feeding. SOLUTION: A paste cassette 60 attachable/detachable to a paste cassette attaching portion 90 of a tape cassette 20 via a locking portion 91, is provided near the terminal of feeding route of a printing tape 32 in a tape printer. The paste cassette 60 is provided with a case 61, and a paste roller 62 consisting of a solid adhesive agent rotatably supported by a paste roller shaft 63 in a case 61. The paste roller 62 is brought into press contact with a tape feed roller 71 in the paste cassette attaching portion 90 by elastic force of a leaf spring. When the tape feed roller 71 is rotation driven via a tape feed roller shaft 75, the paste roller 62 is also rotated together, and the tape feed roller 71 and the paste roller 62 cooperatively draw and feed the printing tape 32 while the paste roller 62 coats the surface of the printing tape 32 being fed, with an adhesive.
