PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain images with good visibility by specifying a color original document or a monochrome original document for every document with respect to images scanned by an image scanning apparatus, and using a processing suitable for each. SOLUTION: There are included a monochrome processing unit 74 for a color original document to perform a monochrome image formation processing on a color original document, a monochrome original document processing unit 73 to perform a monochrome image formation processing different from the monochrome image formation processing of the monochrome processing unit 74 for a color original document on a monochrome original document, and a selection unit (CPU 75 ) to selectively use the monochrome processing unit 74 for a color original document and the monochrome original document processing unit 73 for each original document.
