PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricant composition having high effects of suppressing corrosion or erosion wear of lead-containing metal material in particular, excellent in stability without causing precipitation or separation, and also excellent in storage stability and compatibility with lubricating oil base or a lubricating oil composition containing other additives, and to provide a lubricating oil composition containing the lubricant composition. SOLUTION: The lubricant composition comprises (A) a sulfur-containing carboxylic acid and/or derivatives thereof and (B) at least one selected from among phosphites, phosphates and alcohols.
