PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering system for a vehicle capable of improving precision of automatic steering control. SOLUTION: This steering system for the vehicle has an EPS device 2 to control steering angles of steered wheels 11FL, 11FR by driving the steered wheels 11FL, 11FR of the vehicle 10 by an electric motor 24, and steering operation of a driver is supported as the EPS device 2 automatically steers the steered wheels 11FL, 11FR of the vehicle 10 when the vehicle 10 travels. The EPS device 2 carries out torque control to generate assist torque with reaction torque of a steering wheel 12 as a target. Further, the EPS device 2 carries out angular control with the steering angles of the steered wheels 11FL, 11FR as controlling objects in automatic steering. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
