<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission belt reinforced by PBO fibers. <P>SOLUTION: This power transmission belt 10, 30 has a compression section 16, 36, a tension section 12, 32, and a load carrying section 14, 34. The load carrying section 14, 34 has a plurality of reinforcing cords 22, 42. The reinforcing cords 22, 42 are formed of polyparaphenylene-2, 6-benzobisoxazole (PBO). In each of the reinforcing cords 22, 42, the cord has a yarn having the quantity of twists greater than that of the cord, and the quantity of the twists of the cord is in the range of one-fourth to one-half of the quantity of the twists of the ply. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
