PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a corrosion monitoring device capable of automatically monitoring corrosion of a structure, such as a bridge, measuring corrosion acceleration of corrosion environment, and, in addition, reducing personnel expenditure concerned with maintenance management of a structure. SOLUTION: The monitoring device comprises an coated optical fiber 4 for strain measurement with tension applied in a longitudinal direction and a corrosion monitoring member 5 connected to the coated optical fiber 4 so as to retain the strain of the coated optical fiber 4 for strain measurement, in which the coated fiber 4 is optically connected to a scattered light analyzer 6 via a communicating coated optical fiber 7, and the scattered light analyzer 6 detects changes in the strain of the coated optical fiber 4 for strain measurement that is relaxed under the condition with the corrosion monitoring member 5 corroded, thereby judging the corrosion of the member 5.
