PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the effective area of a filter medium without degrading the aperture ratio of a filter. SOLUTION: The filter for air purification is provided with a filter frame and at least two filter media 30 arranged inside the filter frame. Each filter medium 30 is folded in a pleat shape, many pleat peaks 33 are formed and the folds are made horizontal. Each of the respective pleat peaks 33 at one end 30A in the fold direction of one filter medium 30 is inserted to a dent part 34 formed between the respective pleat peaks 33 at one end in the fold direction of the other filter medium 30. Thus, each of the pleat peaks 33 of each other is alternately overlapped and the two filter media 30 are interconnected in a chevron shape. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
