PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Ferris wheel by which a boarding person can more enjoy a landscape around 360°while rising and falling without changing visual point than heretofore and can taste versatile feeling such as right turning, vertical rising, left turning and vertical falling, and in which a multi-purpose facilities can be built. SOLUTION: On the outer periphery of a cylindrical tower, two rails are spirally set as a pair of a rising rail and a falling rail, and a turning-back rail allowing smooth movement of a gondola mechanism from the rising rail to the falling rail is provided on the upper and lower end parts of each rail to constitute a circulation rail. A number of gondola mechanisms endlessly connected by a chain run on such the rail. Because all the running rails of the gondolas use only the outer periphery of the tower, a large space is generated inside the tower causing to enable a multipurpose building to be built inside and a passenger can get on and off a gondola at the uppermost part.
