<p>An Fe-base nanocrystal soft magnetic alloy of low megnetostriction and high saturation magnetic flux density having properties especially appropriate for cut cores; an amorphous alloy ribbon for use in production of the Fe-base nanocrystal soft magnetic alloy; a process for producing the Fe-base nanocrystal soft magnetic alloy; and high-performance magnetic parts utilizing the alloy. The Fe-base nanocrystal soft magnetic alloy has the composition of the general formula Fe100-x-a-y-zAxMaSiyBz (in the formula, A is at least one element selected from among Cu and Au; M is at least one element selected from among Ti, V, Zr, Nb, Mo, Hf, Ta and W; and x, a, y and z each represent atomic% and satisfy the relationships 0=x=2, 0=a=1.5, 12=y=18, 4=z=10 and x+a+y+z=25). The Fe-base nanocrystal soft magnetic alloy consists of bccFe-Si crystal grains of 120 nm or less average grain diameter and an amorphous phase, wherein the bccFe-Si crystal grains occupy, by volume, 50% or more of the structure. The Fe-base nanocrystal soft magnetic alloy has a saturation magnetic flux density (Bs) of 1.4 T or greater and a saturation megnetostriction constant (?s) satisfying the relationship -3.5OE0-6=?s=+3.5OE0-6.</p> |
