<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel electrochemical cell and its manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the electrochemical cell comprises the following processes. Two frame-like adhesive layers are formed in crimping on a counter-electrode film. A sol-like gel precursor or gel solution is formed inside the adhesive layer. A gel electrolyte film is formed inside the adhesive layer. A work electrode film is attached to the adhesive layer in opposition to the counter-electrode film. Light-hardened resin is introduced between the two adhesive layers. The light-hardened resin existing between the two adhesive layers is hardened. A part of the gel electrolyte film is fused. A single electrochemical cell is made by cutting the work electrode film and the counter-electrode film. The electrochemical cell can be applied for electronic paper, an electric double-layer capacitor, a dye-sensitized solar cell, a lithium-ion cell, or light-controlling glass. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
