APPARATUS FOR PRODUCING LIQUID FUEL FROM BIOMASS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for producing a liquid fuel from biomass composed so that the unreacted material is recirculated in the same apparatus and efficiently reutilized using only the minimum limit of nitrogen without causing wastes, without including a pressurizing step and a compressing step and without requiring a heat exchanger.

SOLUTION: The apparatus for producing the liquid fuel from the biomass is equipped with a plurality of gasification parts 2 for holding a prescribed amount of the biomass, heating the biomass with a heating body and gasifying the biomass and two gas purification parts 4 for removing impurities from the resultant biomass gas generated in the gasification parts 2 with the gas purification parts 4 which are used by changeover thereof. The purified biomass purified gas is liquefied in a liquid fuel production part 5 to produce a biomass liquid fuel stock solution which is separated into a biomass liquid fuel, water and a light hydrocarbon in a gas-liquid separation part 6. The separated biomass liquid fuel is decompressed in a vacuum recovering part 7 and recovered to afford the product. The ungasified unreacted material is burned and the unliquefied gas is reliquefied in the same apparatus.
