PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antigenic composition containing the antigenic protein having high specificity to Helicobacter pylori antibody in the blood serum of Japanese or further of Asian.

SOLUTION: The antigenic composition including a part of CagA is a protein which is prepared by treating Helicobacter pylori with a buffer solution containing an alkylglycoside-based nonionic surfactant; feeding the solubilized extract to gel filtration chromatography; and concentrating and desalting the resultant polymer fraction. The protein is separated into three or more between 81 kDa and 125 kDa in the two-dimensional electrophoresis based on isoelectric point and molecular weight.
