PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular sun shade device capable of performing operations for selectively changing the locking state and the unlocking state of a shade only by the operation of an electric-driven sun shade, simultaneously moving a manually-driven sun shape, moving only the electric-driven sun shade or the like without increasing its cost and size. SOLUTION: The vehicular sun shade device comprises a motor for opening and closing a shade 8, and an unlocking means 17 which maintains shades 5, 8 in locked states while covering a translucent member by the shades 5, 8, and unlocks the shades 5, 8 by allowing the shades in the locked states to further slide in the closing direction. A locking mechanism 12 comprises a locking member 15, a member 16 to be locked forming the locked state by being locked by the locking member 15, and a stopper 18 for regulating the turning operation of the locking member 15 in a predetermined range.
