PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suspension control unit capable of controlling the cut-off frequency of a high-pass filter to be a proper value for effectively removing the amount of drift superimposed on vertical acceleration. SOLUTION: Vertical exciting motion is added upon stopping of a vehicle or during linear uniform motion. According to difference between the standard deviation of vertical movement speed obtained from an acceleration sensor and the standard deviation of vertical movement speed obtained from a stroke sensor, frequency (the cut-off frequency) of low frequency ingredients removed by the high-pass filter is adjusted.
