PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric source device for a vehicle capable of computing voltage and residual capacity of cells constituting the electric power supply for travelling by simplifying overall circuit constitution. SOLUTION: This electric source device for the vehicle is furnished with the electric source 1 for travelling constituted of a plurality of electric source units 2 serially connecting the plurality of cells 3, a plurality of voltage detection blocks 4 connected to each of the electric units 2, a main MPU 6 connected to the plurality of voltage detection blocks 4 through a switching circuit 5 and an electric current detection circuit 7 to detect an electric current of the electric power supply 1 for travelling. The voltage detection block 4 is furnished with a multiplexor 10, an A/D converter 11 and a sub MPU 12, detects cell voltage or unit voltage and outputs it to the main MPU 6 through a communication line 8. The main MPU 6 detects voltage information transmitted from each of the voltage detection blocks 4 by changing the communication line 8 by the switching circuit 5, computes the input cell voltage or unit voltage and the residual capacity of the cells 3 or the electric power units 2 from an electric current value of the electric power supply 1 for travelling and controls the electric current of the electric power supply 1 for travelling.
