PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new composite material using a polysaccharide, which is biodegradable and has sufficient moldability and strength so as to solve the problem of global environmental pollution and a problem of depletion of limited resources, to provide a method for producing the same and to obtain a composition for a molded article using the material and a molded article thereof. SOLUTION: The polysaccharide composite material is obtained by mixing a plurality of hydroxy group-containing polysaccharides (including natural and synthetic polysaccharides) and derivatives thereof.
